Memorial Day Weekend In San Francisco

This Sunday a new tea dance from the producers of Industry debuts at Ruby Skye (where Fresh SF was held for many years) called Hero.DJ/producers Cahill and Danny Verde team up for this brand new club event.Memorial Day weekend wouldn't be complete without a Gus Presents event which means Sanctuary is back.DJs Blaine Soileau and Phil B are guaranteed to get you dancing all night long. You can pretty much guess where I will be at on Sunday.

Flashdance SF Photos

As you can tell I did attend my first ever Flashdance SF and I had a great time.My friend Molly came down to hang out with me at this event.DJ Rotten Robbie played 80s music and a Donna Summer tribute. My favorite moment was when everyone on the dance floor sang along to Don't You Want Me by Human League. Its me and Molly's song! Hilarious part was when my friend Richard did a stage show set to Olivia Newton-John's Physical.Great seeing my friends Denny and Wayne.Overall a magical night set to 80s music.

RIP Donna Summer

Donna Summer, known as the Queen of Disco passed away at the age of 63 this morning after a secret battle with cancer.Donna's music was the soundtrack of my childhood. As a child of the 70s I grew up on disco. The first double LP I bought was Bad Girls.Thank God Its Friday is one of my favorite movies. One song by Donna Summer resonated throughout my adult years:Hot Stuff. It happens to be my ringback tone.Thank you Donna Summer for the memories. This was indeed your last dance.RIP

Cancelled

The networks cancelled more than a dozen shows including the three above that I watched from the beginning.I expected Once Upon A Time and Revenge to be renewed but others left me scratching my head.Heart of Dixie seriously? A Kiefer Sutherland drama that aired once during the Alcatraz series run.Another Shonda Rhimes show? The networks wonder why viewers switch over to basic cable. They don't give programs like Ringer,Alcatraz and Missing a chance.I gave those non reality shows a chance.Too little too late I guess.
